Pre-Clinical Group's Large Animal site, located in Ben-Shemen, Israel, was established in 2008. The facility is equipped with a state of art operation suite, including dedicated anesthesia and full clinical monitoring systems, for accommodation of complex surgical and also minimally invasive procedures.
On site, diagnostic imaging facilities include: an X-ray machine, ultrasound and endoscope.
The facility can accommodate up to 30 animals (pigs, sheep or goats) in separate groups or in up to 16 individual cages.
Housing, maintenance and monitoring at the facility is available for short or long term studies.
The facility is approved by The Israeli Council For Experimentation on Animal subjects (Ministry of Health) and animals are housed according to the American and European official guidelines (NRC).
